Eeee hecky thump I've missed adding my "Hail Yorkshire" to this ere thread in time, but sod it; HAIL YORKSHIRE anyway.

As a bone and bread Yorkshireman I have been very disappointed with the lack of celebration for this day and the lack of coverage and support in the press.

The biggest and best support as a whole region and community I have come across has been in bonny SADDLEWORTH.
At The Saddleworth Folk Festival last weekend the Yorkshire Day flags and banners were all over the place.

People in this area ( previously in Yorkshire but now in Lancashire / Greater Manchester) refuse to accept boundary changes etc and still insist on calling themselves Yorkshire people.

God bless 'em. Once a Yorkshire man/woman, always a Yorkshire man/woman and long may they reign !
