How long will I have even dream of you,
When all I hear is silence? Dare dream seek
For vision of your smile? Hopes are too few
To tell my heart reason you do not speak.
How long will I even for true love seek,
When all desire leads heart to just despair?
Without your smile, dream cannot to heart speak
Of hope, or holding in arms one to care.
How long will I long for what will not be,
Wasting my life looking for future lost?
Is there reason that I cannot break free
To love without my muse, and pay the cost?
Without the dream that thought of you still gives,
How can I think that love in future lives?
