I've been a skunk my whole life through
But that I don't rejoice
My Mommy and my Daddy were
and so I don't have a choice.
I might have been a fella with a snooty family tree
What's wrong with me I'm just a victim of heredity.

I met a porcupine one day

A little girl once found me and
She gave my back a pat,

I waited on the porch and said,

Her mother looked at me and
Slammed the door right in my face.

It's very civilized I know
To dress in fancy clothes.
