Thread Name: Origins: Rose, Rose, Rose (Round)
Subject: RE: Origins: Rose, Rose, Rose (Round)
I was told many years ago when I went to Camp Namanu back in the 1960's that this was about a woman of the house of York (of the White rose), who loved a man of the house of Lancaster (of the red Rose). After learning about the War of the Roses, and then the Henry VII (of the Tudor's - that is the house of Lancaster) he marrying (name has slipped my mind), who was of the house of York the Rose was made into the Tudor Rose. The natural minor fits the period, but I am still looking for more information. Has anyone looked into its English history in the United Kingdom?
