Well, yeah, from my view point there isn't much difference between the Dems and Repubs... They seem to be more like rival fraternities on campus rather than leaderhip organizations...

I still hold out some hope for the Dems with Howard Dean having wrestled control of the DNC but he's in an uphill battle right now with organization matters at the precinct level and until he gets them squared away, there's absolutely no room for him to have influence on the platform...

But, on an optimistic note, while the federal governemnt is mired in radialism and corruption, many state and local governemnts are stepping up to the plate and moving forward with progressive things such as living wage legislation, innovative educational programs that have nuthin' to do with the underfunded and ill-thou7ght out No Child Left Behind and health care for citizens... And these things have come into play from bi-partisan efforts...

Heck, I've been involved with 2 Main Street programs and politics has nuthin' to do with Main Street and folks, irregardless of party affiliation, just roll,l up there sleeves and make stuff happen in their towns...
