Great song, thanks for posting the lyrics. I did a program in a prison in New England a number of year and used this song, modified to fit the discussion. Some of the men had heard the original song, all loved it. Time was an important "talking point" to these guys.

Lofton Kline and Susan Taylor, now called Taylor Pie are still out there performing.

I've met Lofton, and played a bit of music with him (some recording and a couple of shows in Corpus Christi TX). He's a really great guy. He has an absolutley beautiful voice, a good stage presence and he is consumate pro. It was an honor to work with him. I've heard good things about Talyor Pie, but I haven't met her.

All three were recently inducted into the Texas Music Hall of Fame.
