I know this might sound rather strange but I'm working on a feature film about the musician Joe Strummer (ex-The Clash) and I wondered if you could help me? I'm trying to track down someone who was in Joe's first band when he lived in Newport in the early 1970's. They were called the Vultures and the bass player was someone called 'Jiving' Alan Jones. I've been told that Alan now lives in Worcester or Shrewsbury and I believe he probably still plays folk music. I wondered if you have ever come across anyone of that name on the folk scene where you are - he would be in his early 50's by now and have a Welsh accent...If you are able to help in any way or suggest someone who can I'd be extremely grateful. Thank you.
