Well.. the "winter of our discontent" phrase is from Shakespeare, of course, in which the King states:

"Now is the winter of our discontent made brilliant summer by this son of York."

But the couplet above is mine, based on Wm's inspiration and Mbo's endless wint'ry quandary...
