Bingo, Slag!

The Man Who Could Work Miracles, and it was based on a novel by H. G. Wells. I saw it back in the Fifties on a double-bill with another movie, Things to Come, also based on the Wells novel, The Shape of Things to Come.

A bit dated perhaps (both 1936), but they were terrific, thought-provoking movies.
