It's my Choctaw name-the nickname my family & close friends use, as opposed to my legal name which my mother did not choose. My father bent to his family's demand to name me after my great aunt, so he filled out the name for birth certificate purposes & signed his & my mother's names to the hospital form. My mother is still mad about it.
