You forgot to mention that the British, in violation of the treaty of Lucerne, split off over 70% of the Mandate Palestine "Jewish Homeland" and created the "Arab Homeland" of Transjordan, where Jews were not allowed to settle. That was BEFORE the division of Palestine into Jewish and Arab states in 1948.
