Without the ability to edit a file on the remote gadget (if it were a 'normal' UNIX/Linux box, for example) - all I can suggest is to part-transfer the file, then you MIGHT be able to play with the beginning of it locally - as for end titles, etc, you can only NORMALLY edit any file that has been shoved into your local box's cache...
