I was recently considering the purchase of a beautiful island property but backed out when I heard the dogs up the road. Next day, I watched one of them running sheep and foaming at the mouth like he'd been at it for hours.
I really want the property and think the whistle might work. On second thought, a bullet would probably work better since its not just the barking that is causing problems. Fortunately, I would not be arrested for shooting a dog that was running livestock into the ground. In fact, in that community, my social status would be elevated.
On third thought, I think I'll just keep looking for a little peace and quiet.
