I had a great time at my first Sidmouth and enjoyed meeting many people from Mudcat that I hadn't met before. Essex Girl was kind enough to take me round to lots of places when I first arrived, and I really enjoyed the harmony workshops with the delightful ladies of Craig:Morgan:Robson. I ended up settling into the comfy space of the Theatre Bar singaround at lunchtime and the York and Faulkner in the evening (with some space allowing for concerts and afternoons reserved for working for EFDSS), except for one memorably terrifying lunchtime outing to the Volunteer session, where I ended up following Mike Waterson and kind of wanting to sink into the earth afterwards. Thanks very much to everyone who made me feel so welcomed and brought home to me once again that no matter how much research I do and time I spend putting together memorable arrangements of traditional music-- people will always remember me as "the lady with the harp who sings songs about the fairies."
