Thread Name: Write a song for Lincolnshire
Subject: RE: Write a song for Lincolnshire
I am sure that is not the real Wm McGonnagle. For one thing he would be impossibly old and senile--but then, he always was.

For another thing he would not say that. He would pen a REAL song for Lincolnshire. E,g,:

"Of all the places I have been both far and near,
Few can compare with the beauty of Lincolnshire.
It has rich green meadows, which most beguiling lie,
Rivers and forests to enchant your eye.
So if you decide to wander from your own hearth's fire
There are few better choices of places to go than dear Lincolnshire."

I think that's about his speed.
