I would like to look at part of what you posted last night Bill in another light.. this is not meant to be insulting. You put your point across well but there a two ways to look at the point you were making

....Simply put, I do not appreciate lock-step, knee-jerk reactions to anything! Every situation has particular problems, and right now, some folks have a huge problem with us because we not only openly show our dislike for them, we are occupying their Countries which in turn is causing the deaths of innocents - including the deaths of our own ethnicity - in order to punish many for the evil work of a few. This has to be addressed with something other than slogans and pre-digested rules and stepping up Airport security to include racial profiling when the screeners and the equipment at US Airports is about two steps up from being in place for aesthetic purposes only.
Meanwhile about 50% of Plane Cargo and and even higher percentage of Port Cargo does not even get screened due to the sheer volume.
Racial profiling in these circumstances is a like putting a Band-Aid on an open heart surgery wound in the hope it will hold itself together!
