There is a fire north of here which has now burnt over 135,000 acres and threatens both Atomic City (pop. 25) and the Idaho National Laboratory. A change in the wind and it could burn Craters of the Moon National Park and Arco, Idaho (pop. 1,026) as well as getting into various wilderness areas. Houses, fields, and cattle have already burned; the exact assessment isn't in yet. I've heard that the fire is only about 5% contained.
