Hi Slag. I've noticed you around the place lately and have been enjoying your postings very much. Welcome to the 'Cat from one of the upside down people in Oz!
It is great news about your dad. Obviously he is one of those people who seems tireless and packs loads of activity into every day. It's what works for some people.
My aunt was like that - up early and always in the garden doing heavy work well into her 80's. The "coffin nails" got her in the end - she did enjoy a smoke. A few years ago I had a neighbour across the road like that - she was always out the front lopping off branches, mowing, sweeping, leaf blowing - it never seemed to stop. You could get tired just watching her - which I sometimes did from my comfy seat on the front verandah ;-)
I, on the other hand, am more of your persuasion. Although I am not afraid of hard work, especially in the garden these days, I am a very good relaxer. I could give a workshop in relaxing if it wasn't so much hard work :-) I understand what Gnu said - I can sleep soundly and contentedly when I feel I have achieved something during the day. So with me it's a matter of getting the balance right.
Right now I'm feeling the need to get away from the computer screen and GET SOMETHING DONE! It's a terrible thing, this Mudcat addiction!
