My father was the kind who never quit being active too...till about the month of his life. He died at 82 from liver failure. I have no expectation of living that long, although I've certainly lived a healthy life in most respects. I don't think I'm tough enough to last into my 80's. I figure I'll check out in the early or middle 70's, most likely, unless a tree falls on me first.
