Roy Bailey is well known to folkies in Australia. His music is enjoyed and respected here. I applaud what he's done, both in accepting the award initially, which is a recognition of folk music and his contribution, and in later handing it in. He's the one who has to live with how he felt about the war and the award, he did the right thing and the statement on his website was courageous and blunt.
