Hallo again all! It's time once again to update for the fabulous fall concert schedule!

I'm moving the info about David Grier down to this message, since it's still to come (this week!) As always, call Dusty Strings at 206-634-1662 for tickets or more info.

David Grier
Thursday, August 31, 7:30pm, $18
Bluegrass master guitarist David Grier returns to Dusty Strings for a solo concert. Grier's splendid career has placed him in the company of Clarence White, Doc Watson, and Tony Rice as one of the most innovative and supremely gifted flatpickers of all time. Many of you know his playing well (he has been featured on more than 100 recordings) but for anyone unfamiliar with him, Grier's solo show is a must-see experience.

David Helfand and Friends
Saturday, September 9th , 7:30 p.m., $15
David Helfand, harpist and multi-instrumentalist and his friends present an exotic evening of original and traditional music on the Celtic harp, mandocello, guitar, violin, bass and Middle Eastern percussion and perform their enchanting blend of Middle Eastern, Celtic and impressionistic music. David has released four CDs and will showcase music from his albums based upon his magical journeys to Israel and Britain.

Carolyn Cruso and Kate Price
Friday, September 15th, 7:30 p.m., $15
Friday September 15th, Carolyn Cruso and Kate Price team up for a performance of traditional and original music. Independently, Cruso and Price have toured internationally, garnering praise as much for their vocal stylings as their impressive instrumentation. Cruso accompanies her singing with hammered dulcimer, flute and guitar. Price also plays the hammered dulcimer, and brings Swedish Hummel and piano into the mix. Together, they bring to the stage an eclectic blend of folk, jazz, Celtic and other multi-cultural elements in a dazzling display of compositional creativity and instrumental virtuosity.

CRASDANT
Sunday, October 15th, 7:30 p.m., $15
Crasdant, the foremost instrumental band of Wales, will perform at Dusty Strings on October 15th. Robin Huw Bowen's triple harp centers the music, while Andy McLauchlin lends lithe flute. Fiddle player Chris Bain and guitarist Huw Williams bring both humor and a delicious rhythmic sensibility to the mix. Huw is also an award winning step-dancer who will no doubt be spicing things up at this exciting performance loaded with traditional instrumentation and contemporary inspiration.
