ahh...I see. Another term which has cast off its mundane beginnings and adopted a meaning almost totally unrelated to them!

(I first heard "Mongolian Clusterfuck" in about 1969, used to describe an orgy where you don't change partners, but simply "do who you brung" in a big pile.)

I suppose you can find the connections with a little adroit mental gymnastics.
