I find it very hard to believe that this person really exists and is not a creation of someone's warped mind like the departed Martin Gibson. I can't conceive of any living person being so pathetic, helpless, hopeless and whiney.

Every few months there is some other major catastrophe where this character cannot possibly find a solution. I know of no other young person who has had so many maladies, personal problems and made as many bad decisions. Most real people would have done something to help themselves during the long period of time that this character has been creating a presumably fictional soap opera. Where are family, friends, etc?

My guess is that this Hesperis is some sort of fictional character who is just pulling the strings of the Mudcat community. Perhaps the creator of this character should put his/her talents to a better use by joining the writing team of a soap opera. The Hesperis character is a true work of art illustrating 100% total pathos.
