If they are just like the rest of us, why do they need parades to demonstrate how proud they are to be different??.

Actually I'm with the fire fighters, who have a highly dangerous and important job to do. They are rightly proud of their chosen profession and would think it diminished by their being caught up in one of these parades...Ake
