IT is a long time since I have heard Bernards recordings, but I gather from what I have read elsewhere, that his style of playing is no longer fashionable. I remember he had a very dancey style.
   With Comhaltas trying to homogeonise style, the sooner his recordings are issued on c d, and made available the better. lets hope concertinists stop apeing one style,
Its getting rather like the time every guitarist sounded like a martin carthy clone.
Bernard was a lovely player who had an individual style, may many people but his c d s when they come out. Dick Miles
