I was one of 5 members of a group called Hanearim, we sang Israeli folk songs and appeared at Bunjies on most Wednesday evenings from 1964 through 1966.
Our group consisted of the voices of Nina Young, Johnny Simon, Ralph Rosen, and brothers Steve and Clive Noble who played guitars and also provided back up vocals and harmonies.
I know I've come on to this thread 3 years late, and am sorry to hear that Theo has died, what a character, I can still hear him belting out his raunchy numbers.
Lovely remembering Lou and the great coffee, the endless drip of condensation from the ceiling in the cellar, one of the bad experiences was having to follow Bert Jansch on one of his early appearances. He was a knock out then.
It was always fun counting the takings at the end of the evening then splitting it between the 5 of us..... the average take-home pay was under two pounds each.
Those were the days....... as the old song goes......
