It's a shame about the Blue Anchor - it's been a favourite watering hole for me since my college days at the Hertfordshire college of building - I used to end up there after drinking my way down fishpool street - start off in the white swan (dirty duck) near market place, then the Harrow, Farriers Arms, Verulam Arms, Old Kings Arms, Lower Red Lion, Portland Arms, Black Lion, then Blue Anchor - if I was thirsty I'd go onto Rose and Crown and Six Bells - then walk down Everlasting Lane to crash out

Jenny didn't seem phased by it at all - perhaps there is another Nirvana awaiting
