It is pretty much the same story but in the case of Campbell the Rover it is a couple of men who pull the trick on Campbell before he, in turn, dupes the landlord. Google gives plenty references to Campbell the Rover (and mentions cross referencing Campbell the Drover)particularly that it was made popular by Joe Heaney - but no set of words. I'll post what I know of the song here later but thanks again for the help so far I can no doubt piece it together from that.
