Thread Name: BS: A good side of Wal-Mart?
Subject: RE: BS: A good side of Wal-Mart?
I'm sure Wal-Mart gets a nice big tax write-off for all those benevolent donations. I don't think wages and health care benefits provide a profit motive.
Don't try to convince me that Wal-Mart or John D. ever contributed anything to anyone that didn't lead to a direct benefit for the owners.
Why should taxpayers subsidize Wal-Mart or any other business?
"A handful of gimme and a mouthful of much obliged."
...and we let them get away with it because a few of their products are a few cents cheaper.
The operative word here is CHEAP (in every way).
