Paul, I am sure it was just an oversight on your part to not include the abuse of detainees by British forces in your post as well. I agree completely with much of the criticism of US policy, but it strikes me as odd that folks often forget to add that their own government is complicit as well. Most Americans don't approve of this shit, just as most Brits don't approve of their country's policies in Iraq or the North of Ireland.

It wasn't all that long ago that British Colonial policy was doing all of this and more.
