Jackie was kind enough to give me one of her new CDs at the weekend. It's a beautifully packaged album of beautifully arranged music - If she's reading this, thank you very much!

To me, this is an incredible debut, but my feeling is that she will get stronger and stronger. She's already gone from being 'good' to 'VERY good" in an extremely short space of time. This is a remarkable record to have under your belt (although I think the >NEXT< one will be the one that makes a real storm.)

What can I say? Go and buy this album, even if it's only so you have the rare first Jackie Oates CD in your collection in 20 years time!

It's very good indeed.
