have you looked at file associations in Win Explorer?

Can't say about firefox - that seems to take over itself anyway.

I usually go into the registry to thwart things like that but then I do have two partitions with Windows on so if one flls over I can use the other.

& I don't have Flash installed. It is eye candy and conveys no information.
