Subject: RE: Tech: Preventing Quicktime taking over
I have both MID and MIDI set to open in Windows Media Player, but if I click on a CLICK HERE TO PLAY in the DT, it opens and plays in Quicktime.

If I open a midi direct from Windows Explorer, it will open in WMP, but if I click on a link in a HTML page on my hard disk, say CLICK HERE TO PLAY it refuses to open and tells me:
To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer. Click here for options ...
I then have to click to allow active content, then I get a Security Warning and have to answer "Yes" that I really, really, really do want to run active content.

Only then will the bloody thing play - but in f***ing Quicktime, not in WMP.

In Win 98 I just clicked on the link and it opened in WMP. What the hell has happened since then?
