The Tuesday session at the Abbey is good fun. Musically, the range is very broad - from unaccomanied traditional right the way through to rock and roll - and all abilities are welcomed. The regulars are are friendly and the pub serves great beer. A top night all round.

As is the Grove on Fridays. Excellent guests, vibrant singers' nights (slightly more traditional than the Abbey) and, again, very friendly.

If you're able to go further afield there's Otley Folk Club on Wednesdays (Kork's Wine Bar). Like the Grove, it's a mixture of guests and singers, with a warm welcome guarentteed.

On Thursdays, there's a choice. Pool-in-Wharfedale has a singers' night in the Half Moon. Laid back, friendly (are you beginning spot a pattern?)and eclectic. If you'd prefer a folk club, the Topic at the Cock and Bottle, Barkerend Road, Bradford has an excellent season celebrating 50 years of the club (highlight is Julie Felix). It's -you guessed it - very friendly, and you'll be welcome to do a floor spot, if you want.

Spoilt for choice, really!
