Mostly, if you are just writing straight text you don't need to worry about formatting. However, many times people post lyrics, and in that case you need to know about line breaks...
You can always hit enter twice, but that puts a double space, and it's harder to read that way...or you can go here and learn some very simple HTML code that you can use.
