A friend played this CD to me the other day. Apart from the fact that I have a strong prejudice against singing English Trad. songs in harmony, I found it bloodless and uninspiring. No passion, no edge and a hint of rather tiresome young 'prodigies' revelling in their own cleverness. I get the impression that a lot of these younger singers are more interested in producing a novel (and commercial?) sound rather than putting across the songs.
