Shambles, it only seems like he's the fastest string changer. He's just about as great to listen to talk through the string changes as sing. Re the not showing up bit - I heard that he once was known for this, back in the deep, murky past. I haven't heard anything about him in recent decades that didn't refer to him as a consumate professional. I met and talked with him at concerts in 97 and 98. He seems to be one of those people who genuinely loves humans. I will walk to the Maine gig if I must.
