Wynona does not appear to me to have very much need of a cup. Except perhaps an egg cup.

The point is that all the participants played some quite breathtaking sport under the most intense pressure - in all truth the difference between the ablities shown by two teams was very small. They all made a difficult game LOOK to be very easy.

In the singles, Stuart Cink hit 7 birdies to totaly blow away Sergio Garcia who played pretty well himself. And both sides hit 'holes in one'. You could see that it hurt to lose - but there was not the same uneasy edge to this as on some previous occasions. I hope that the European side will show the same dignity and respect in defeat when their turn comes. As it surely will. Credit to all.

The margin of victory in points terms - both this time and the last may look large but all this will do is ensure that the next one will be even more closely contested - if that is possible. If it is played in the same sporting spirit - that will be something to look forward to and sport will be the winner.
