Jan & Ken are good friends of mine - they've long been supporters of our little Lancaster festival. Perhaps I'll get a chance to pop down while you are staying with them - I'm only half an hour or so away from Preston (never been to their house though, so not sure exactly where they are!) (mind you, wouldn't exactly call Preston a harbour - it's got a big dock, but not a natural harbour)

If you have a chance, just half an hour north from them, I could give you a tour of Glasson Dock - a quaint C18th port and also see the presrved Georgian quayside - home for the past 18 years to our Maritime Festival.
