Dear Canadian friends,

As one who is an admirer of your country, its values, and who has many friends among your people, I speak as a friend. But I point out how you constantly complain and blame everything on the USA. We are not responsible for who YOU elect, anymore than you are responsible for the person we elect. I refer specifically to this post:

The problem with Canada is that Bush has taken over our own back yard ... now that he has P.M. Harper setup as his northern toadie.


Then the follow ons by Mooh. I would point out that we have enough to deal with in trying to undue all that GWB has done. I would point out that you are all very fond of pointing out that Canada IS NOT the USA. I agree. But you can't have it both ways. The people of the USA didn't elect your man. And GWB didn't install him. You (collectively the electorate of Canada) did. I beg you to recognize the difference, elect people that will fight these poliicies. We will do the same, hopefully, beginning in this mid term election.
