The Ceilidh Soc at Warwick is particularly active, and they usually come along to the Peeping Tom ceilidhs every first Thursday. Usually a dozen or twenty, but occasionally anything up to 40. This is a very welcome addition to the normal Peeping Tom crowd, and brings down the average age a treat!
For those interested, the ceilidhs run on the first Thursday of each month (except August), and have now been going for over 30 years. The band is the same each month (Peeping Tom obviously), with a guest caller from a list of the best the UK has to offer.
This month it's on 5th Oct with Pete Rees from Bristol calling - one of the best of the new crop of young callers.
The dances take place at Massey Ferguson Social Club, Broad Lane, Coventry - good dance floor and reasonably-priced drinks - 8.00 to 11.00 ish. It's a bargain £5 to get in, and you can get further info from 02476 674491.
All welcome.
