Recognising someone as having integrity isn't the same as agreeing with them about how they see the world. And agreeing with someone about how they see the world isn't the same as recognising them as having integrity.
That's pretty obvious, but it's something that seems to be missed time and tiem again. For example, how often does it happen that a disagreement about some moral or political issue in a thread here turns into accusations of dishonesty, when what is involved is just a disagreement?
It's as if people find it hard to believe that people can honestly disagree with them.
