There seems to be a much bigger contingent of mudcat folkies in the DC Getaway area than the New Haven area. I know there are tons of New England folkies, after seeing around 5000 people at NEFFA two years ago. NOMAD in New Haven is smaller than NEFFA (which is moving to Mansfield, MA), but has a good-sized crowd of musicians and dancers, most of whom are apparently not mudcatters. Or at least they don't feel inclined to comment here!

Anyway, I'm thinking about NOMAD tonight because I'm trying to decide which songs to do...
