My memory, which has become faulty of late, recalls 1963 as the date but I can't swear to it. I had sheet music one time for the song but I haven't clue where it is now. I typed "The Ballad of The Bluenose" into my AOL search engine and got a listing for a book called "Canada Is Song 7-8" . May be someone from the Frozen North can do you better with this knowledge.
