The Pub-Prop's clamp (to the instrument) is a srtip of rubber--unlikely to come loose by accident, but not nearly strong enough to break a neck. The clamp (to the table) is a screw clamp; also unlikely to come loose unless you make a real mess of attaching it (think of a rubber-covered table-tennis-net clamp.)
