Most of the buildings here are brick, and fires seldom pass from building to building here, on occation in the seventies and eighties, acts of arson to clear squats would involve several buildings, but, the fact that there is quick responce from fire fighters, and no wooden structures, the LES hasn't had block wide fires such as have been seen in Philly.
