Orang-utans do it the right way. Much easier, unless the banana is over-ripe.

Mind, the only time I ever handed a banana to an orang-utan, he removed the peel, ate it, and handed the fruit to the keeper. I don't know if he was taking the best bit for himself, or being nice to the keeper.
