Tiny pumpkins? Are there such things?
Here in the UK in Autumn I can't resist picking up conkers to put in my pocket. So glossy and tactile (I didn't know I knew that word). I didn't even play conkers when I was at school, so I never had any reason to pick them up, I just like them.
Do you do that in the US? Mutilate the seed of the Horse Chestnut tree by drilling a hole and threading string through it then using it to try to break your opponents conker.
