Thanks, Ali, I goofed on the date of my TFTD, today! I love turtles and am sorry that one you saw was harmed. We have a red eared slider which my daughter has had for 15 years. He has quite a personality. He had to go to the vet this week, for the firts time ever. I wished I'd ahd a camera. When we were holding him while the vet checked him over, she gave him a tongue depressor to bite down on. So here's this dinner plate sized turtle, madder than hops, wiht a wooden tongue depressor sitcking out on both sides of his mouth while he bites the hell out of it. Made me think of all those old Westerns where the guy gets shot, then is handed a piece of leather to bite down on while someone digs the bullet out. One tough turtle, I'll tell ya.
