Richard Bridge: I was a member of the Masonic Lodge for women called Cefnllys in Newport, Gwent. I swore to have my tongue torn out and buried 25 leagues from the shore, where the tide ebbs and flows, if I talked about what I whitnessed within the lodge when I was initiated. My left breast was bare and I was slip shod, with a stocking rolled down to my ankle for the ceremony with a blindfold and a noose around my neck. I felt the dagger at my throat.
